Walking along the world’s deepest gorge Kali Gandaki carved/ formed by the Kaligandaki River and taking a bath in a natural hot spring makes our journey full of thrilling, adventures and excitement. You may even find sacred fossils rocks called Shaligram in Nepalese language on the Ridge of Kali Gandaki River where Hindus pray.

Trek to Jomsom and Muktinath heads to the lake city of Pokhara from the capital city of Kathmandu with a pre-determined Itinerary arranged by the Discovery World Trekking. After nearly about 6/7 hours of driving lead you to Pokhara. Then you will take a taxi to Nayapul. Nayapul is our first starting point of hiking then all our members gradually trek to reach Gorepani Poonhill where you can enjoy the sunrise and many mountains range views. This trail passes through the farming fields, forests, blooming red rhododendron flowers, Gurung and Mager villages, and natural hot springs.

Muktinath is the highest place of our trip package located at an elevation of 3,800m. This holy sacred temple for Buddhists and Hindus is renowned for its piousness. It has two small ponds in front of the temple, and an “Eternal flame” burns inside the temple. There are 108 holy taps in the temple premises. It is believed that taking a bath in the water or drinking water continually in these taps guarantees salvation after death. From Muktinath, you can choose to drive back or fly back to Pokhara.

The journey begins with a 6-7 hour bus ride from Kathmandu to Pokhara (approx 200 km) which is included in this package. However, if you want to take a domestic flight from Kathmandu to Pokhara (20 mins approx) and also from Pokhara to Kathmandu, we arrange those flights for an extra cost. Discovery World Trekking would like to recommend all clients arrive in Kathmandu by three pm, at least a day before the departure date for last-minute preparations. “Incredible Journey, Incredible Support”

Chris Neale

10/26/2014

I recently spent one month in Nepal and my itinerary consisted of activities in the Kathmandu Valley, Everest Region, Chitwan, and Phokara. Having been recommended to the DWT team by a friend well in advance to booking the trip, I got in contact with CEO Paul via Facebook and simply put, the rest is history. Right from the get-go, Paul was so incredibly friendly and supportive, giving me a huge amount of information and various options for how I wanted to construct my trip as well as extra (and very helpful) suggestions. We remained in contact right up until my departure from Australia and upon arrival, 'Paul from Nepal' ensured that I got the absolute most out of my time in this beautiful country. Paul and his team worked tirelessly to make me feel at ease and Paul himself always made himself available for contact via text or call 24/7 in case I had any queries on the fly. I was delayed getting to the Everest Base Camp region due to bad weather for two days and was never caught out of a room to stay and Paul made huge efforts to get me on the soonest available plane. My guide Hari, and porter Dole were amazingly helpful and easy to get along with (very important when trekking by yourself) and always had great information on the different areas along the route. Upon successfully returning from my trek, Paul organised buses to and from Chitwan and Phokara, and often checked in to ensure that I was comfortable and that everything was going well. Paul and his DWT put you first, and I have yet to experience better service and attention to detail in any of my other organised travel experiences. I would recommend DWT to anyone wanting to experience Nepal and its plethora of amazing sights and sounds and can safely say that if it weren't Paul, my trip simply would not have been nearly as incredible as it fortunately was. Amazing!

Paul, as others have mentioned, quickly responded to all email enquiries which was the main reason we chose Discovery World Trekking. This efficiency flowed through the whole trek from paul’s advice and assistance, to the professionalism of our excellent Guide, Tek Gurung who catered for our every need. He along with the porters watched over us constantly to help us avoid grumpy Yaks, heavily loaded porters and other hazards on the trail. We were very well fed and much enjoyed the company of the trekking staff. We would unreservedly recommend Discovery World Trekking for a hassle-free and fun trek.
