Everest Base Camp Trek in Nepal 2021 - 2022

Everest Base camp trek in Nepal is by far the greatest expedition adventure of the World. Long hike into the mountain valley, you’d feel like magic is real and miracles are alive on every moment of Sunrise and the sunsets. People often make mistakes about the Everest base camp hike as it’s just hiking up to the base camp but in reality, it’s more than just EBC. Your trek of course starts after you land at Tribhuvan International Airport and after one or days stay at Kathmandu, you’re official trek starts. From Kathmandu, you’d take a flight to Lukla (The most popular route) and that’s the place where the official hike starts. You’d start to see mountains and landscapes which you might not have seen or heard about, you’ll see amazingly hard-working people raising their castles and roaming around proudly with Himalayas yaks. You’d also encounter dense green forest with 100s of short & long suspension bridges along the way.

Right after you start your trek from Lukla, the 1st night would be probably at Phakding. A small village with probably the sweetest people. It’s been 100s of years since they have been supporting travelers to conquer Everest, Ama Dablam, Lobuche, and many mountains around which have made soft corners for travelers and tourists around that regions. After a warm and cozy night, you’d head for the next destination, which would be The most beautiful mountain valley, Namche Bazar. Namche Bazar is popular for so many reasons, to mention a few, Art galleries, Monasteries where you can literally see Yak claws, and 360-degree panoramic video of white mountains. If you ask us, it’s really a heaven on earth.

Namche Bazar (3,440m)

As Namche Bazaar is in quite an elevated height of around 3,440m/11,285 ft above sea level, on Discovery World Trekking’s 14 days package, we keep Namche Bazar as an Acclimitaion destination.  Namche Bazar is highly advanced in terms of facilities like Amazing Hotels, Cafeteria, Internet, Branded shops and things which are quite rare even in Kathmandu or any major cities of Nepal. Namche being quite a large area to roam around, travelers and tourists enjoy with bliss in their hearts and a smile on their faces.

Tengboche monastery : Everest base Camp trek route
Tengboche Monastery

After a well-rested day on Namche Bazar, our next destination would be Tengboche, it’s really hard to describe such places with just words like beautiful and heaven. All you can see is there are White mountains, all you can breathe there is a fresh Himalayan breeze, and all you do is be aesthetic and think about why I didn't know about these places until I came here. You really have to see it to believe how amazing the place is. If you do little research or ask anyone who has been to Tengboche, they’ll tell how calm and silent that place is. 100s of monks come there to meditation so everything has to be calm there. You’ll definitely feel spiritual energy in Tengboche.

Mt Ama Dablam : Everest base Camp trek route : Dingboche view
 Dingboche (4,410m)

After a hike up to Tengboche, we’ll head to Dingboche, a place where you can see the bottom to the top back view of Mt Ama Dablam and also lots of other mountains surrounding Mt Everest. This is the place where trees will start losing our sight, you’ll totally be surrounded by mountains, mountain rivers, and glaciers: truly a magical experience.

We’ll stay overnight at Dingboche, which is a miracle in the sense that it’s surrounded by white snow-capped mountains but it’s relatively less cold than other places like Pheriche and Lobuche. Cho Oyu and Makalu are some of the six of the world’s highest mountains are also worth admiring on our acclimatization. To the north, we can observe more Himalaya peaks rising over the Khumbu Khola valley and the beautiful Dingboche village something like earth untouched as God had created it himself.

Kala Patthar : Mt Everest view
Kala Patthar (5,550m) : Mt Everest view

After an amazing hike to Dingboche, our trail heads to Lobuche & Gorak Sheep leading to our final destination Everest base camp & Kala Patthar. If you have researched about Everest base camp, you would know, Mt Everest view is not visible in most cases, only a tiny bit of peak could be seen luckiest day. Actually, Mt Everest View would be experienced at its best from Kala Patthar. Named after a traveler’s legacy to first discover and popularise it. It literally means “Kala” for “Black Colored” & Patthar (Huge chunk of Mountains Stones) which could be seen while hiking Kala Patthar. You would be amazed to see the matte black stones hike to finally see the sunrise at Mt Everest.
