Langtang Region Travel Guide

The Langtang region is a breathtaking region just north of Kathmandu. Home to Langtang Lirung (7,227m), Langtang offers a unique blend of natural beauty and cultural richness. If you seek a less crowded yet equally rewarding trekking experience, the Langtang trek is for you.

The journey takes you through lush rhododendron forests, traditional Tamang villages, and high-altitude landscapes with stunning views of snow-capped peaks. Whether you're a seasoned trekker or a first-time adventurer, Langtang Region promises an unforgettable experience with its serene trails, ancient monasteries, and warm hospitality.

Most Langtang treks begin with a drive from Kathmandu to Syabrubesi. The trail continues through villages like Lama Hotel, Langtang Village, and Kyanjin Gompa.

The best times to visit are during spring (March-May) and autumn (September-November), when the weather is clear and the skies offer panoramic views of the Himalayas. On the way, you'll encounter diverse flora and fauna, glacial rivers, and the iconic Kyanjin Ri (4,773m) viewpoint.
