Transportation in Nepal
There are ample of public transportation such as buses, minibuses, micro-buses and so forth available all around primarily at old or new bus park, which depart to different destinations in the valley. Three wheelers known as Tempoo aka clean tempos run by battery or electric power are also available in and around the Kathmandu valley for commuting.

You can wave to it and ask for ride. Night taxi service also can be arranged and operated from and to the hotels. Taxi fare at night is slightly higher than metered taxi in the day. There are ample of shops offering mountain bikes and ordinary bicycles in rent. That are cheap and the best form of transportation for economy tourists. You can hire them at Thamel, Rani Pokhari and Jhochhen and so forth in and around Kathmandu.
Long distance bus service
There are available of long distance both day or night bus services from Kathmandu to all cities across Nepal. Usually, from old bus park at Bag-bazaar, and new bus park at Gongabu at ring road near Balaju, Kathmandu, from where buses depart to different destinations.
Domestic air service
There are dozens of domestic airlines available in Kathmandu and have extensive network of air services to major parts of the country. Besides Nepal airlines, there are nearly 20 other domestic airlines that provide regular and chartered services to popular domestic destinations.
