After reaching Lukla, you will start the trek with a gentle walk of around 2 kilometers from Lukla to Chheplung.

Day 2 Distance: Phakding to Namche Bazaar
Day 2 is the first major uphill trekking day of the Everest Base Camp Trek. The distance from Phakding to Namche Bazaar is approximately 11 kilometers, or 6.8 miles. The trek takes around 6 hours.
First, you will trek from Phakding to Tok Tok, covering around 2 to 3 kilometers. The trail follows the Dudh Koshi River and passes small lodges, waterfalls, prayer stones, and forested sections.

Day 3 Distance: Acclimatization at Namche Bazaar
Day 3 is an acclimatization day at Namche Bazaar. There is no fixed trekking distance because it depends on the hike you choose.
Most trekkers walk between 2 and 8 kilometers on this day, depending on whether they take a short village walk or a longer hike toward Everest View Hotel and Khumjung.

Day 4 Distance: Namche to Tengboche

Day 7 Distance: Dingboche to Lobuche

Factors Affecting the EBC Trek Distance
Many factors affect how long each day feels and how much effort you need to complete the route.
- Altitude
The trek starts at Lukla, which is already above 2,800 meters, and gradually climbs to Everest Base Camp at 5,364 meters. Kala Patthar is even higher, reaching around 5,555 meters. As you climb higher, the oxygen level becomes lower, and your body needs more time and effort to walk the same distance.
- Trail condition
