Krishna Janmaastami (Birthday of god Krishna) festival is being observed in Nepal
This festival is celebrated in commemoration of victory of good and Dharma over devil and bad power. The festival always signifies important message that truth always wins at the end against evil. Moreover, it reminds us the stories of battle between good and bad, tell us there will be the presence of god for the action of protecting good things, destroying the bad things when the situation becomes full of sin on earth. He is worshipped with various names like Krishna, Krishnashtami, Saatam Aatham, Gokulashtami, Ashtami Rohini, Srikrishna Jayanti and many more hundreds of other names.
Krishna Janmashtami falls on the month of Bhadra, 19, 20 (September, 05, 2015) in Krishna Paksha this year as the festival of observing the birthday of lord Krishna. Lord Krishna is recognized as the 8th avatar or incarnation of lord Vishnu. Biological child Krishna, eight son of king Vasudev and Queen Devaki was born at midnight. Krishna's childhood spent with full of fun and love similarly, his youth was full of romantic falling in love and friendship with Gopis and Gopinies.
His role was significance in holy battle of Mahabharat, was the Chariot of Arjun with support of Pandava against Kauravs to win the holy war. A holy book Bhagwat Gita has the full of his description and advice about good and sin. Krishan, an inventor of flute, used to have a flute in his hand all the time, was capable of playing very well. Krishna Janmasthmi is being celebrated around the world in most countries by Hindu with fasting and enchanting Slokas from the Bhagwat Gita and singing songs, Bhajans. This festival can be observed at Krishna Mandir in Patan Durbar Square, Narayanhiti Krishna Mandir in Kathmandu valley are the main centers point in Kathmandu valley. Hindu devotees gather in these temples on the eve of Krishnastami and stay in vigil until midnight. The celebration proceeds with incantations and lighting of traditional oil-lamps. During the day, a religious procession is held through the city and traditional music is played as it gets along. Foreigners visiting Nepal should not miss the chance of observing this festival.
