Raising Fund For Earthquake Victims

Namaste to all from Discovery World Trekking !

According to authorized information we got, 150 houses have been completely destroyed only in a small village of Chalish from the tragic earthquake. People are spending overnight in an open sky, including Paul's parents, for a weekend with no food, and shelter. Rescue operation in this village has not been done from any concerned body. As it takes minimum 3 days by walking to reach there from the district headquarters of Dhading. Due to remote area, people in this village have been severely suffering from consequence of devastating earthquake.

We inform to all of you that Discovery World Trekking entire Team including Paul Gurung- founder of Discovery World trekking and international guest Jackie WL Chan and Gray W Hayes of Canada - of Outdoor Leadership Camp for Youth (OLCY), ( You can see OLCY Nepal Earthquake Relief video by clicking here) along with his team, including Henry Mitko of Germany, are going to Challish Village within 6 to 7 days. Chalish Village lies in northern part of Dhading district, is the remotest village where Paul was born and grew up.

Discovery World Trekking team thanks all our valuable guests for kind help in fund raising. We got more than Rs 80,000 fund recently from clients. Many thanks go to Monique for her never ending help whose contributions have been in every step of my journey to fulfill my mission into action. We wish to express our thanks to dear brother Tommy and Jasmine for their great help. Last but not in the least, we extend our heartily thanks to all the valuable guests from all over the world who have been helping us in different ways in this critical situation. Fund collections to reach us from different countries are continually rising up.

Funds provided to us are being spent on expenditure for the purchase of necessary items such Tents, blankets; foods etc. The remaining funds will be distributed to earthquake victims of Chalish village directly. If fund collection becomes huge, we are planning to provide money for repairing of damage houses in Chalish village.
