Lukla flights from Ramechhap Airport instead of Kathmandu

Due to traffic congestion at Kathmandu Airport, the Nepal government has decided to conduct domestic flights for Lukla from Ramechhap (Manthali) airport effective from 25 September 2022.

Ramechhap airport is about 4 hours drive away from Kathmandu. Ramechhap to Lukla flight will take an additional 20 minutes.

To catch a flight to Lukla from Ramechhap at 6 am, we must start our drive from Kathmandu to Ramechhap as early as 2 am in the morning.

We are extremely sorry for the inconvenience.
